Research and cooperation
Blue Ecosystems Research Team and Associates
The Blue Ecosystems Group is involved in ecological research,
primarily in the marine environment.
The group executes environmental, geomorphological and biotic
surveys for research purposes. The unique combination and
intellectual profundity of its members bears important realizations
regarding the marine environment and the dynamic processes
that characterize the coast. We specialize in finding the
correlation between various environmental factors and biotic
reactions. Presently, under conditions of marine warming and
competitive exclusion due to humans, this information is of
primary importance.
A unique experience was the partnership with chef Yitzhak
Nathan Levi, with whom the book “Seaweed in Olive Oil” was
written – a fascinating and tasty experience.
Last but not least, Dr. Iarael Alvaro – a colleague and friend
with whom we wrote a chapter in the book dealing with seaweed
of the intertidal region along Israel’s shores.
